Earlier this week, Drake posted a tweet distancing himself from the new concert documentary Drake's Homecoming: The Lost Footage, and some of the folks behind the film suggested that they might respond with a lawsuit. Sure enough, TMZ reports that distributor SpectiCast has filed a lawsuit against the rapper.
The suit apparently alleges that Drake attacked the film as a way to draw attention to his Twitter page, because soon after he posted a tweet about OVO Fest.
The film is being produced by J. Prince and Jas Prince of Rap-a-Lot Records, but it seems that they don't have anything to do with this suit, as Drake tweeted that they also oppose the film. It seems that Drake agreed to the film's release by signing a contract back in 2009.
Read the pertinent tweets below. Meanwhile, the film is still due to come to select theatres for one day only on Thursday (March 19). The folks behind the film have said that Drake's tweet didn't hurt the release, which is ironic given that they're now suing him.

The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.
