Dinosaur Jr. Get Their Own Clothing Line

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 15, 2013

If you're searching for the perfect outfit to coordinate with your purple Dinosaur Jr.-branded shoes, then your prayers have been answered. The band have got their own clothing line through Brooklyn clothing company МИШКА (a.k.a. Mishka).

This capsule collection is heavy on purple and includes cool-looking items like baseball caps, toques, graphic tees and a bomber jacket. The line was inspired by the artwork from Dinosaur Jr.'s 1988 album Bug, and it's heavy on cartoonish animal imagery, with items featuring apes, cows, flies, elephants and more. See photos of the items below.

This collaboration has been years in the making, since Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis is apparently friends with the folks at МИШКА. According to the label, the clothes are a way of "celebrating unquantifiable radness of Dinosaur Jr."

Mascis will perform solo at a launch party at МИШКА's Brooklyn shop on October 23. The duds will be available online later this month. See МИШКА's website for details.

This follows a string of unique merch items from Dinosaur Jr. in recent years, including a doll set, bobblehead and cassette box set.
