Desaparecidos

"Backsell"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 15, 2015

Conor Oberst's recently reunited punk project Desaparecidos are gearing up to release a new album called Payola this summer, and they've followed up lead single "City on the Hill" with another new cut.

"Backsell" hears the band embracing their louder side, with Oberst's distorted, strangled yells delivering the song's anti-consumerism message.

Payola officially arrives on June 23 via Epitaph, and you can see Desaparecidos' upcoming tour dates below, which include festival stops in Toronto and Montreal. Scroll past those to give "Backsell" a listen, and you may note that track previously emerged via the band's string of single releases.
