Trailblazing Floridian death metal unit Death's back catalogue is getting the deluxe reissue treatment yet again, with an expanded edition of the outfit's sophomore set Leprosy due to drop April 29 in North America through Relapse Records.
Originally issued in 1988 through Combat Records, the special edition is set to arrive in various formats, pairing the original album with tons of bonus content. A standard double-CD edition features Leprosy, remastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Nile), on the first disc and two separate demo sessions recorded in 1987 on the extra disc. Also included is a 24-page booklet of era-appropriate photos and liner notes Ian Christe (Sirius/XM) and Jeremy Wagner (Broken Hope).
A limited-edition triple-CD set adds a bonus disc featuring live performances recorded in Bloomfield, NJ, and Rochester, NY, in 1988. You'll find the tracklisting details down below.
Vinyl-wise, the tweaked-up version of Leprosy proper appears on coloured wax, while a download code is included to give fans the goods from the double CD. A picture disc version will also be available, as will a deluxe box set that features a second LP of rehearsal material and comes housed in a gatefold jacket that also holds a newspaper print insert, a slip mat and a download code for the triple-disc version.
