With Deafheaven having recently revealed plans to put out a new LP sometime in 2015, it's looking as if fans might be able to sample some new tunes ahead of time on the group's newly announced headlining stint on the "Converse Rubber Tracks Live Tour."
The sneaker-sponsored trek is a quick one, containing just five dates, but each show will find the shoegazing metal crew taking the top spot. Following U.S. appearances alongside bands like Wove, Haunted Summer and Beast Patrol, Deafheaven will close out the trip at Toronto's Adelaide Hall on November 21 with cold wave crew Programm.
You'll find all of the show info down below.
As previously reported, the follow-up to Deafheaven's 2013 breakthrough Sunbather is apparently in the early stages. While the last LP was crafted by founders George Clarke and Kerry McCoy, this next effort will have them sharing songwriting duties with the rest of the current five-piece incarnation: drummer Daniel Tracy, bassist Stephen Clark and guitarist Shiv Mehra.
In related news, L.A. hardcore wreckers Trash Talk recently announced they have their own Converse shoe on the way. The group's signature Converse CONS Pro Leather Skate shoe is modelled after the band's recent No Peace LP, with the words "Babylon" and "California," both references to lyrics from the record's "Plague…Walking Disease," printed on the tongues. The words "Trash" and "Talk" are also inscribed in sock liners, while peace signs are printed on the soles.
You can find out more about the footwear here.
