Dave Grohl Breaks Leg at Foo Fighters Concert

Yet another musician has been injured when taking a dive off the stage. First Florence Welch broke her foot jumping off the stage at Coachella, and then Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jimmy cut up his leg when taking a tumble at Governors Ball. Now, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has become the latest artist to fall victim to the curse, since he sustained what appears to be a serious injury onstage today (June 12) in Sweden.

The Foos were performing in Gothenburg, Sweden, and TMZ reports that they were on the second song when Grohl fell down from the stage. It seems that he hurt himself badly in the process; he finished the song, but had to temporarily exit the stage after that.

"I think I just broke my leg again. I think I really broke my leg. So look — you have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters, we're gonna come back and finish this show," he told the crowd. "But right now, I'm going to go to the hospital, I'm going to fix my leg, but then I'm going to come back, and we're gonna play for you again. I'm so sorry."

Taylor Hawkins took over on lead vocals, but Grohl eventually returned and finished the set while sitting down with his lower leg taped up and elevated. The above photo of the incident was posted by Reddit user grog709.

Watch video footage of Grohl's post-injury speech below. Given how much pain he seems to be in, he's probably wishing that he had signed that petition for Foos to break up.

Grohl nor the Foos have released an official statement about the incident, so there's no word as to what the doctors have diagnosed and if Grohl did indeed break his leg. The band are currently on tour in Europe and have lots of North American dates (including a number of Canadian stops) coming up in the next few months, so we're bound to learn more soon.

Update: A tweet from the Foo Fighters reveals that the leg is indeed broken:
