New York musician Darwin Deez last left us with his goofball 2011 hip-hop excursion Wonky Beats, but the dude gets back to indie-pop soundscaping next year via the release of his upcoming full-length LP, Songs for Imaginative People.
The 10-song proper follow-up to Deez's eponymous 2010 debut was self-recorded and produced in Asheville, NC, and will arrive February 12 in North America and a day earlier in the UK via Lucky Number Music.
Today (November 26), the artist revealed a video for the album's first single "Free (The Editorial Me)." You can peep the jittery pop tune's clip, which has the singer/guitarist trying to escape the cyclical loop of cereal stocking shift at a Bodega, down below.
"If the songs on my debut had a bite-sized element to them, the new songs are definitely full-size and king-size," Deez said in a statement of Songs for Imaginative People. "So don't just listen to them once and judge them; chew your food. It tastes better that way after all."
