The Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is billed as North America's largest dragon boat competition, but in addition to water sports, the event includes a music portion, and this year's event will offer an array of notable Canadian performers.

The Tim Hortons-sponsored festival takes place across four days, from June 25 to 28, at Mooney's Bay Park in Ottawa. Admission is free, and artists include Dan Mangan + Blacksmith, Rural Alberta Advantage, Tokyo Police Club, Hey Rosetta!, Mounties, Hollerado, Yukon Blonde, Jeremy Fisher, Jim Bryson, the Acorn, Kalle Mattson, Craig Cardiff and the Franklin Electric.

Fans will notice that all of these performers are Canadian. Artistic Director Antony Cooper said in a statement, "We are true believers in the great talent Canada has to offer and are looking forward to a great weekend this year in Ottawa!"

The event will also feature 200 dragon boat teams, a children's area, artisan vendors and other amusements.

Money raised through the dragon boat race benefits the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation, which supports 33 local charities.
