We previously reported that Damon Albarn would be working Alice's Adventures in Wonderland into a musical theatre production simply titled Wonder.land, and now a trailer for the upcoming show has made its way online.
The new story turns Lewis Carroll's psychedelic fantasy land into an online game, where protagonist Aly goes to escape her unhappy home and school life. In the teaser clip, we hear a snippet of Albarn's new compositions (with lyrics from Moira Buffini) and see Aly surrounded by a digitized cast of familiar literary characters like the Chesire Cat.
The Rufus Norris-directed production hits the stage on June 29 at the Manchester International Festival.
