Daft Punk to Drop 10-Minute Remix of "Get Lucky" on New Vinyl Release

"Get Lucky" is already over six minutes long, but Daft Punk's insanely catchy recent single is about to get even more wonderfully epic thanks to a new 10-minute remix, which will arrive this summer.

French website Fnac.com [via This Is Fake DIY] is offering pre-orders of the remix — which is 10:31 long — on vinyl. The track in question is listed as a "Daft Punk Remix," which confirms reports that Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo would be reworking their own tracks. The single also includes the album version and radio edit of the song. The 12-inch is to arrive on July 16.

"We're working on some mixes ourselves," Bangalter previously told BBC Radio 1. "So, yes, there will probably be Daft Punk mixes of Daft Punk. Usually, we never mix ourselves, that's something we feel we're interested in doing this time."

Reports have suggested that "Get Lucky" would be the first of a string of remixes from Daft Punk's new album, Random Access Memories. In other words, we can expect more of tracks to arrive soon.

Speaking of 10-minute mixes of "Get Lucky," we can't help but be reminded of those lengthy loops that emerged online after a short snippet of the funky tune was first unveiled a few months ago. Reminisce about that by listen to a 10-minute edit below.
