Last year, always unpredictable Hollywood star James Franco released the MotorCity EP with his band Daddy, and now he's directed a video for a remix of their song "Love in the Old Days" by Ted James.
This remix, dubbed the "Ted James 1999 Remix," transforms the laid-back original into a threatening dance track that includes no shortage of garbled synth noise. The accompanying video is similarly sinister, as we watch some shadowy, cult-like rituals play out among folks holding candles, wearing animal masks and displaying plenty of bare skin (making this decidedly NSFW). The whole thing culminates in a creepy dance party.
Interview Magazine notes that experimental filmmaker Kenneth Anger — who's work is apparently a big inspiration for Franco — plays the priest.
