Cut Copy's Ben Browning Branches Out with Solo EP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 10, 2012

Around this time last year, Cut Copy issued their third long-player Zonoscope, an album that we called "a solid lateral move." Considering the fact that it was three years between that album and their last, we probably shouldn't expect a fourth album anytime soon. Thankfully, bassist Ben Browning won't sit idle, instead offering up a new solo EP.

The release is called Lover Motion, meaning it would be a perfect addition to your sultry Valentine's Day playlist, but it won't be out until March 19 via the band's Cutters imprint.

Lover Motion has been in the works since before Zonoscope, and includes work from Cut Copy's Dan Whitford, along with Architecture in Helsinki's Gus Franklin and Haima Marriott.

Lead single "I Can't Stay" is available now digitally and as a twelve-inch vinyl release. The track can be streamed below via SoundCloud or with its own music video.
