The Corin Tucker Band

"Neskowin" (video)

The Corin Tucker Band
Today (September 18) marked the release of former Sleater-Kinney singer-guitarist Corin Tucker's sophomore set with her Corin Tucker Band, titled Kill My Blues. In case you haven't already picked up a copy of the album, pressed by Kill Rock Stars, there's a new video for previously previewed album track "Neskowin" ready to sell you on the platter.

The semi-autobiographical number centres on lyrics about a childhood trip Tucker and a friend went on, but the video focuses on a fictional pair of teens making their way to an X-Ray Spex show. The kids hitch a ride downtown with some hippies and cruise an all-ages club filled with Frogger and BurgerTime arcade games. One girl ends up kneeing some creep-o punker in the nuts, while the other stage dives during a set.

Tucker herself plays the roles of a hippy, X-Ray Spex singer Poly Styrene, and the mother who takes care of her daughter after her big day out. It seems the girl was, ahem, all Tuckered out.
