Container Announces Another 'LP' for Spectrum Spools

Last year, multi-instrumentalist Ren Schofield rolled out his beat-centric project Container with an album for Spectrum Spools. Before the year is out, the Editions Mego sub-label will release the follow-up LP, a five-track collection due out November 28.

The album is mixed in mono and takes an ultra-direct approach to minimal techno. A press release cites German electro-punk act D.A.F. as an influence and promises, "LP is a rough and raw ride, adding very much needed gristle to pale face of the stagnant minimal scene."

This looks to be a further expansion on the sounds that Schofield explored on his previous Container album. It was entirely recorded over this past Labour Day weekend in Providence, RI (Schofield's new home since moving from Nashville, TN).

The tracklist is below and the cover up above. Pre-order a vinyl or digital copy right here, and listen to the album's lead-off track "Dripping" below.

LP:

A1. Dripping
A2. Paralyzed
A3. Acclimator
B1. Perforate
B2. Refract
