Veteran rapper Common hasn't released much since his skippable 2011 effort The Dreamer, The Believer, as he's been more focused on his acting career. That'll change shortly, however, as the performer has announced plans for three new projects in the coming months.

Appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Common explained that, if all goes according to plan, he'll release an EP, a mixtape and a new album in 2013.

"I'm coming out with an EP at the end of this month that will be accompanying the movie LUV," he told Fallon. "And then I got a mixtape. My first mixtape I ever done in my life will be coming out in April. And then an album in September."

So far, those are the only details we have on the new material for Common, but we'll keep you posted when we know more. You can watch his Jimmy Fallon interview below.
