As anticipation builds behind Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld's upcoming Never were the way she was LP, the experimental music pair have revealed they'll be taking their collaborative pieces across North America on a joint tour.
It had previously been announced that Stetson and Neufeld would be taking the new work across Europe, with that tour already underway. Now, a handful of North American club and festival dates have been added. This includes June appearances in Toronto and Quebec City, as well a two-night stand at Montreal's La Sala Rossa venue.
But ahead of those newly announced joint dates, Neufeld will be opening up for art rocker St. Vincent on a string of U.S. dates. She also has an appearance at Whistler, BC's Wanderlust Festival in August.
Stetson, meanwhile, will also be keeping busy with a series of solo shows this summer and is booked to play both the Dawson City Music Festival and the Calgary Folk Fest at the end of July.
You'll find a fully detailed itinerary of Stetson and Neufeld's varied tour schedule down below.
As previously reported, the pair's eight-song Never were the way she was was recorded with producer Hans Bernhard in an attic studio in Vermont. Neufeld's vocals and violin work and Stetson's horn-playing were tracked live, with the recordings featuring no "overdubbing, looping, sampling, cutting or pasting." You can sample the set's "The rest of us" down below.
Never were the way she was hits stores April 28 via Constellation Records.
