Coheed and Cambria are giving back in more ways that one. Not only did the prog rockers recently give one of their followers $3,000 to meet a mortgage payment, but they are treating fans to a vinyl reissue of their 2003 album In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. It will be out on October 21 through Equal Vision/Columbia/Legacy Recordings.
The album has been remastered from the original analog tapes. In addition to the standard black 180-gram double LP, a limited tour edition will be pressed on tan splatter wax, and online orders will be available on grey marbled vinyl.
In the 11 years since In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 came out, it has sold more than a million copies. It features the singles "A Favor House Atlantic" and "Blood Red Summer." Hear the remastered version of the former song at the bottom of the page [via Billboard].
This fall, the band will support the reissue with a so-called "Neverender IKSSE: 3" tour, where they will perform the record in full. See the schedule below; it includes a Toronto stop on October 1.
