Code Orange Kids Prep New Mini-Releases in the Wake of 'Love Is Love // Return to Dust'

BY Bradley Zorgdrager Published Nov 21, 2012

Though their first full-length, Love Is Love // Return to Dust, was just released via Deathwish Inc., Code Orange Kids already have their eyes set on the future.

Along with their new album, the band are bringing a new release on their tour with Gaza and Full of Hell. A new, tour-only tape contains five numbered songs, ranging from "I (Foundations Stand Still)" to "V (My Body Is a Well)," which were previously released on the Embrace Me // Erase Me cassette and a split 7-inch with Full of Hell.

This won't mark the end of the numbered songs series, either. Talking to Exclaim!, drummer/vocalist Jami Morgan explains, "We're going to continue doing those numbered songs in between our full-length records. We have another one of them coming out on a four-way split in a couple months. We're going to put a couple of them on there."

The four-way split with fellow bands Tigers Jaw, the World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, and Self Defense Family (previously known as End of a Year) will come out in the winter via Run for Cover/Topshelf Records.

Those who want the real Code Orange Kids experience shouldn't miss the band's currently ongoing North American tour with Gaza, during which Morgan assures Exclaim! that Code Orange Kids will be doing their best to keep up with their tourmates.

"You should expect us to be fucking stressed out because of the fact that Full of Hell and Gaza are like literally unreal live. … [Full of Hell's] energy is so insane and Gaza's energy is so insane."
