With the new year just around the corner, Joyful Noise Recordings has announced all the details behind its annual flexi-disc singles series. The 2015 edition of the subscription-based service includes Melvins' King Buzzo, Lee Ranaldo and Cloud Nothings, while it also includes a VIP variation that will offer up a second batch of "mystery singles" prepped by bands from the Joyful Noise roster.

As with previous years, the Joyful Noise 2015 Flexi-Disc Series will press up a one-sided 7-inch every month to be sent to subscribers. Each flexi is limited to 1,000 copies, and this year's batch will also feature new material from Of Montreal offshoot Arousal, Tera Melos, Oneida, Wye Oak, Pattern Is Movement, Sonny & the Sunsets, Pinback member Rob Crow's Goblin Cock, Protomartyr, and a collaboration between Deerhoof and Celestial Shore.

While song details for the series have yet to be delivered, the label noted that "artists are encouraged to be as adventurous as possible for the duration of one single-sided flexi disc," and that this resulted in a collection of "unique and ephemeral tracks from some of the best bands in the world." Cover art will be selected by each act, and the songs will never be released digitally.

The standard service will cost you $5 U.S. a month for a flexi, or a discounted rate of $55 for all 12. As with previous years, the label is offering a deluxe package, but this year it has upped the ante to include extra material, bonus 7-inches and more.

For $240 U.S., a VIP service will get you 12 entries from the series and have you housing them in a wooden box prepped by Of Montreal visual collaborator David Barnes, which you can see here. The deluxe subscription also features a "mystery single" aspect, which presents an exclusive track from an artist on the Joyful Noise roster on a TBA vinyl format.

The quantities of these releases are dependent on how many people subscribe and could arrive as a lathe-cut single, a picture disc release or "vinyl-like material." These singles will never be sold outside of the subscription service and likewise won't be issued digitally.

Other goodies in the deluxe subscription include "access to limited, hand-numbered vinyl editions" for other Joyful Noise releases, free downloads "of every new release" being issued digitally in 2015, a T-shirt and more. You'll find out more info on the project here.
