City and Colour began as a solo project for songwriter Dallas Green, and while his endeavours in recent years have often included backing musicians, he will be stripping the project down to its solo origins for a tour this December.
The outing is a brief one, with the five shows taking place in as many days. In that time, the former Alexisonfire member will remain in a fairly small portion of the country, playing a few Quebec shows and crossing just over the provincial border to Ottawa.
According to a press release, "These upcoming performances will see Green taking the stage solo with his guitar and crystalline falsetto, life-defining lyrics, and the songbook of soul-searching offerings that brought us the Nashville-born sweep of 2013's The Hurry and the Harm."
This solo jaunt is in addition to City and Colour's previously announced fall dates. Most of those shows are in the U.S., but there's also one in St. Catharines, ON. See the schedule below.
Meanwhile, Green has a collaborative album with P!nk, entitled rose ave., coming out on October 14 via Dine Alone Records/Sony Music Entertainment Canada under the name You+Me.
