Chris Cornell has roots in Seattle's early '90s grunge scene, but in his new video for "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart," the alt-rock howler goes all the way back to the Old West.
In the clip, we see Cornell playing guitar in jail as he awaits execution in a small, dust-caked town. Once he ends up on the gallows, he manages to avoid death, but he doesn't seem particularly happy with the fate that awaits him after that. The video was directed by Jessie Hill and co-stars Hollywood actor Eric Roberts.
