New Zealand Kiwipop act the Chills have been around for over 20 years, and today they've shared their first new material since 1996 with new single "Molten Gold."
The song doesn't reinvent the wheel, instead offering up a simple chord progression complete with violin leads and a poppy melody.
Songwriter Martin Phillipps, who also turns 50 today, explained in a press release that the song is "the culmination of a lot of work by many people who have helped digitize and sort many of the hundreds of song ideas I have started over the last decade or two so that I can finally begin moving forward and completing songs."
Check out "Molten Gold" below. The song is also available on iTunes via Fire Records.
