CFCF is going in an increasingly organic direction with the forthcoming Radiance and Submission, and now the Montreal electronic musician has given us another taste of his new sound by sharing "La Soufrière."
The track emphasizes the musician born Michael Silver's voice and acoustic guitar arpeggios. There are also lots of swirling synth tones — which swell up during the droning intro and provide the backdrop for the guitar plucking — but it's marks a big change from CFCF's early work.
Radiance and Submission is due out on July 31 through Driftless Recordings. It will swiftly be followed by a cassette called The Colours of Life for 1080p on August 14.
