The Libertines recently announced plans for a new record, but it hasn't stopped co-frontman Carl Barât from charging ahead with his new band the Jackals.
The group are set to unleash their debut album Let It Reign on February 17 (via Grand Jury) and will follow it up with a North American tour in March. Luckily, fans don't have to wait until then to get a taste of the record, as the group have now shared "A Storm Is Coming."
In a recent press release, Barât explains the formation of the band — which came together as a result of posting ads online and getting thousands of enthusiastic repsonses.
"I actually started making this record solo, but the long and short of it is I just didn't like my own company," he said. "I was lucky, because I found a bunch of people who genuinely fit together as a gang."
