Bry Webb Announces 'Live at Massey Hall,' Premieres New Video

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 25, 2015

Last year, Bry Webb made headlines when Constantines reunited, but he also kept busy by releasing a solo album called Free Will and going on tour. Now he's keeping the momentum going by announcing an upcoming live album and sharing a new music video.

The record is called Bry Webb: Live at Massey Hall, and it's due out June 2 via Idée Fixe Records. As you might expect, the album was captured at the historic Toronto venue, and this is the same 2014 performance that was filmed for the Live at Massey Hall series last spring; watch a 30-minute video with some of that gig at the bottom of the page.

The set will receive a limited-edition vinyl pressing that will come with "optical illusion" artwork.

In the meantime, scroll down to watch the newly unveiled clip for the mellow, atmospheric ballad "Fletcher," which is the opening track on Free Will. Director Nadia Tan said this in a statement about the video:

A few years ago, I discovered some of the postwar housing communities in Ontario and became enamoured with the simple beauty of these boxy white clapboard bungalows. I thought this would be the perfect setting for the video for "Fletcher." Our cinematographer Greg Biskup and I travelled to some of the these communities and captured a series of portraits of strangers going about their everyday lives.
