Bruce Springsteen Fan Documentary 'Springsteen & I' Getting DVD Release with Bonus Performance Footage

Last year, a group of filmmakers put out a call for Bruce Springsteen fans to share their experiences as devoted followers of the iconic New Jersey songwriter. The fans' input was used to create the Boss-approved documentary Springsteen & I, which came out theatrically this summer and will get a DVD release in the fall. It will be out on October 29 through Eagle Rock Entertainment/Black Dog Films/Mr. Wolf.

The Baillie Walsh-directed doc tracks Springsteen's career to date and includes previously unseen footage of performances of some of his most famous songs. According to a press release, "Springsteen's fans have helped create a film that reflects on their personal experiences to explore what this timeless artist means to them amidst amazing performance footage. The experiences that form the emotional core of this compelling film are touching, at times humorous and frequently extraordinary insights and stories that all come from the heart."

The DVD includes bonus footage of six songs from Springsteen's 2012 performance in London, UK's Hyde Park; this includes "Twist and Shout" and "I Saw Her Standing There" with Paul McCartney. There is also bonus material of fan contributions not included in the flick.

The film will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. Watch a trailer below.
