Broadcast

"Goodbye Girls" / "Tears in the Typing Pool" (demos)

Beloved avant-pop act Broadcast faced tragedy when singer Trish Keenan passed away from pneumonia in 2011. The artist, who would have been 46 this week, was remembered by her musical and romantic partner James Cargill, who shared some demos from the band's iconic 2005 LP Tender Buttons.

Cargill offered up two extremely stripped-down versions of Tender Buttons tracks "Goodbye Girls" and "Tears in the Typing Pool." Even in these forms, the songs demonstrate just how ahead of their time Broadcast really were.
