Bright Eyes/Neva Dinova Split EP to Get Reissued with Extra Tracks

BY Stephen CarlickPublished Feb 9, 2010

Those bemoaning the death of Bright Eyes still have one final, frustratingly-long-in-the-making album to look forward to, but in the meantime, why not get reacquainted with old favourites? In that spirit, Saddle Creek will be reissuing Bright Eyes and Neva Dinova's 2004 cult favourite split EP, One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels, this spring.

The original six-song EP will be enhanced with four brand new songs from Conor Oberst and Neva Dinova's Jake Bellows, which the pair recorded in the fall of 2009. The tracks "Rollerskating," "Happy Accident," "Someone's Love" and "I Know You" will make the EP a full ten songs, all of which will appear on both CD and LP on March 23. Or, if you order it straight from the Saddle Creek online store, you can get it on March 9, with a digital download coupon being issued on that day when the record is shipped. We're also guessing the original ten-inch vinyl edition will now grow slightly in size to fit those extra songs.

In related Bright Eyes news, Oberst is decorating a Fender Stratocaster guitar for the Crafts for a Cause auction for Haiti relief. He's painting it and attaching decals and everything, and we gotta say, it actually looks pretty sweet.

Thanks to our friends at TwentyFourBit for the heads-up.
