Bright Eyes Lines Up Vinyl Reissues

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 24, 2012

Last year, sad-sack songwriter Conor Oberst returned to Bright Eyes with The People's Key, and now that his project is back at the forefront of music fans' minds, he'll be delving into his early catalogue for a series of vinyl reissues through Saddle Creek. That's right: the sounds of sorrow and spirit-shattering loneliness with soon be available again on shiny black wax.

There will be six reissues in total, all drawn from Bright Eyes' early (that is, pre-Lifted) career. First up on March 6 are 1998's A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997 and 2001's Oh Holy Fools: The Music of Son, Ambulance & Bright Eyes. Then, on April 3, it's 1998's Letting Off the Happiness and 1999's Every Day and Every Night EP. Lastly, on May 1, we'll see a reissue of 2000's classic Fevers and Mirrors and 2002's There Is No Beginning to the Story.

These long-out-of-print vinyl records will come with a bonus CD copy of the album in the jacket, but it appears as if no real bonus material will come with these repressings.

If you're a Bright Eyes completist and want all of these, you can get them in one convenient bundle (shipped in three instalments) from the Saddle Creek store. Go here to pre-order.
