'LOUD on Planet X' (score snippet)

Some big-name Canadian indie stars have teamed up as characters in the new musical videogame LOUD on Planet X, and now we can get a new taste of the soundtrack.

This new clip comes from Broken Social Scene members Brendan Canning and Justin Peroff. It's an exciting, blippy synth ditty with freaky guitar licks, and is the kind of track that will sound great as the accompaniment to destroying aliens in a digital world.

Hear that below, along with a previously unveiled soundtrack snippet from Mike Haliechuk and Jonah Falco (of Fucked Up). This one starts off as a Fucked Up-style punk scorcher, but it shifts into synth ambience and is then overlaid with acoustic strums before returning to noisy rock.

Take a listen to the tracks below. LOUD on Planet X is still raising money on Kickstarter; one of the rewards for contributing is a 7-inch with music from the score. Artists who appear in the game include Tegan and Sara, METZ, Metric, Lights, July Talk, Fucked Up, Cadence Weapon, Austra and more.
