BoySetsFire Give North American Vinyl Reissue to 'The Misery Index: Notes from the Plague Years'

While last year, BoySetsFire got back in the game with the release of While a Nation Sleeps, their first full-length in seven years, the Delaware post-hardcore crew's next step has them taking a look at the past. Their 2015 begins with a vinyl pressing of 2006 effort The Misery Index: Notes from the Plague Years.

A press release explains that while Equal Vision had issued the album on CD back in the day, Bridge 9 will be handling the first-ever North American vinyl pressing of the set. It's due January 13. A European LP reissue arrived through End Hits Records earlier this year.

The upcoming vinyl edition of the album, which had been the band's swan song before reuniting in 2010, features an unaltered tracklisting, but comes packaged with a few extra goodies. The LP will be available on coloured wax, comes with a poster insert, and arrives with a digital download card.

The record had made the Billboard Top Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts at the time of release, and is noted to have added piano, strings and horns to beyond their "adventurous, aggressive and melodic sound." You can check out some of those sounds in an album trailer down below.
