There's good news and bad news for Born Ruffians fans. The good news is that the band have rolled out a new behind-the-scenes video in anticipation of next month's RUFF. The bad news is that, to watch the whole video, you'll need to remain glued to your computer screen for the next 30 days.
The curious art projects involves a website streaming 12 hours of VHS footage, which is slowed down so that it takes 30 days to play. That's 1.3 million frames over the course of the next month. Once the video is over, it will be gone forever, with no option to play it back.
The frames are saveable, and fans can share them on social media with the hashtag #watchRUFF.
Director John Smith said in a statement, "Fans will be able to check in 24-7 throughout the pre-recorded 30-day stream to see what's going on at any given moment. There are several characters and storylines that unfold over the period of time, and collectively I think the Internet will be able to piece it together."
If you've got some free time and want to check in on the stream, you can do so here.
RUFF will be out on October 2 through Paper Bag Records/Yep Roc Records. See Born Ruffians' tour schedule here.
