Boreal Sons Share Single from Debut Album, Book Canadian Fall Tour

Calgary piano-rock outfit Boreal Sons have been kicking around for a few years now, and following a couple of prior EPs, they are ready to drop their debut full-length. Threadbare is out on October 1, and the band have shared a new track from the collection in advance of a fall Canadian tour.

The album was recorded with BC producer Jonathan Anderson (Aidan Knight, We Are the City, In Medias Res). A press release notes that it's an introspective collection, and singer Evan Acheson said in a statement, "The record is essentially about learning to be vulnerable with others and honest with yourself."

Scroll down to hear the single "Sparks," which sports peacefully atmospheric guitars, jazzy drums and lots of vocal harmonies.

In support of the disc, Boreal Sons will hit the road in Canada in the coming weeks. They will embark in late September and, following a light schedule in early October, will continue touring into November. In that time, they will travel to both coasts and make a number of stops in between.
