Bob Dylan's Grandson Releases Hip-Hop Mixtape, Compares Grandfather to Jay-Z
In Bob Dylan's family, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. His son Jakob is a star in his own right, having released albums with the Wallflowers and as a solo artist. Now, Bob's grandson Pablo Dylan (son of his eldest, video director Jesse) has launched a music career, and he just dropped a hip-hop mixtape.

The mixtape is called 10 Minutes. You can listen the 15-year-old's track "Top of the World" at the bottom of this page and download the mixtape here.

He told AllHipHop that, with his music, he hopes to live up to Bob's legacy. He said, "I mean, really, my grandfather, I consider him the Jay-Z of his time, and he definitely has a legacy that a lot of people look up to. He feels strongly about my music and I love him to death."

Hmm -- just because Bob "feels strongly" about Pablo's music doesn't mean that he necessarily likes it. Then again, maybe Bob is a supporter, since Pablo says that his own tunes were inspired by his grandfather.

"What I have done, I mean from a musical and personal standpoint, is definitely influenced by him," he explained. "Everyone around me influences me, and I have learned so much from him just listening to his records, but I hope his music continues to live on through what I continue to do the rest of my life."

Don't expect Pablo to give up on this rap game anytime soon. He claims to have gotten 50,000 views on his mixtape and is already back in the studio. He will soon release a single with Darnell Robinson and Young Money's Lil Chuckee.
