Blur Get Their Own British-Themed Tea Set

In addition to ugly Christmas sweaters, there seems to be another unlikely merch trend emerging in the music world: tea accessories. Amanda Palmer released a tea set with pre-orders of her new live album, and we included rock-themed teabag holders in our gift guide this year. Now, Britpop kings Blur have released their own tea set in time for the holidays.

The so-called Britannia Tea Set comes with a tea pot, plus two cups and saucers. These depict Britannia riding a hippo while armed with a trident and a Union Jack shield. It all comes in a Britannia-themed gift box.

Limited to 300 copies, the set costs £69 ($119 Canadian). Check it out at Blur's online store.

The band are also selling Britannia-themed mugs and T-shirts, not to mention flat caps. None of these quite make up for the lack of a new album, but at least they give you lots of options for the Blur fan on your Christmas list.

Meanwhile, Damon Albarn is plotting a solo album for 2014.
