While the blokes in Blur have been teasing a new studio album for ages, they might finally put some money where their mouth is. On Saturday night (February 18), Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon delivered a new Blur track called "Under the Westway" during a War Child benefit show in London.
The piano-driven "Under the Westway" definitely falls under the "ballad" banner, with Albarn introducing the song by saying, "we wrote this up the road a few weeks ago... it's got a lot of words, but not as many as it should."
The track marks the first new Blur offering since the 2010 Record Store Single for "Fool's Day," and you can check it out in the fan-shot video below via NME.
