Blur

'The Magic Whip: Made in Hong Kong' (documentary)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 4, 2015

Blur returned with The Magic Whip last week, and now they're giving fans some insight into the new album with a making-of mini-doc.

The half hour-long clip features the Britpop four-piece discussing the process of reuniting to make their first album since 2003's Think Tank. The band recorded the new material in "a sweaty horrible room" in Hong Kong, and the new video features tons of footage from inside the studio.

There are also interviews with all members of the group discussing Blur's personal dynamics and their refreshed approach to making music.

The Magic Whip is out now via Parlophone, and you can check out The Magic Whip: Made in Hong Kong in the player below.
