Blonde Redhead

"The One I Love" (video)

Though Blonde Redhead are in the middle of a North American tour, a new video for their Barragán's "The One I Love" shows what the band get up to on a day back home in New York.

Directed by Jem Cohen (Instrument), the video finds the Big Apple soaked to the core, with citizens running through streets to hop on transit. Indoors, Cohen films Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino doing chores at home, while a break in the weather allows him to capture the Pace brothers sharing laughs with a statue.

Makino said of the relaxing, day-in-the-life nature of the video: "We used to be very close with Jem when we started playing shows and following Fugazi around with our blue van. What we have here in 'The One I Love' video embodies who Jem is. You see what he sees, what he feels, and what he sees in us."

As previously reported, Blonde Redhead have shows in Montreal and Toronto coming up at the end of the month. You'll find their tour schedule here.
