Blackie and the Rodeo Kings' Stephen Fearing Takes New Solo Album on Canadian Tour
Fearing's Between Hurricanes came out today (January 29) through Lowden Proud Records Ltd. and you can stream the entire collection at the bottom of this page [via No Depression].
Also below, check out Fearing's Canadian tour itinerary. The schedule finds him crossing the Prairies and heading to British Columbia in March before playing a scattering of Ontario shows in April and May.
Between Hurricanes was produced by John Whynot (Bruce Cockburn, Blue Rodeo, Lucinda Williams) at Toronto's Woodshed Studio. The follow-up to 2006's Yellowjacket, it was inspired by Fearing's divorce in addition to the loss of both his record label and his manager. He said in a statement, "I realized that it was time to let go of the old ties and step out into the brave new world of true independence."
