Björk Unveils WTF Artwork for Physical Version of 'Vulnicura'

The digital version of Björk's new album Vulnicura already has a rather wacky cover, but that's nothing compared to the artwork for the physical version, which is coming out this month.

Björk shared the image on Facebook today (March 3). As you can see above, it depicts a CGI woman (who we presume is meant to be Björk) bent backwards over a rock with some sort of an purple alien substance dripping down her body. The only immediately apparent similarity to the digital version of the artwork is that the woman has a rather yonic-looking hole running down the centre of her chest.

It was designed by Björk and Andrew Thomas Huang. The post states the image is part of the "physical album sleeve," so it's unclear if it will appear as the front cover or inside the jacket.

According to listings, the physical edition of Vulnicura is expected out on March 24 in Canada via Sony Music Canada, with One Little India delivering the set a bit earlier overseas on March 16.
