It may have been delayed by a few months, but Los Angeles garage punk crew the Birth Defects' debut full-length, First 8 Mistakes, arrives fully formed this Friday (July 10). Ahead of the official release, you can stream a fiery, last-minute tease called "Bad Shit."
The track finds the group, comprising members of Bleached and Thee Oh Sees, delivering a tense blast of discordant chords and high-octane drum thumpin'. Vocalist Jason Finazzo, meanwhile, uses a fearsome but fun growl detailing sweat-soaked and sleepless nights.
