This year marks the 10th anniversary of Billy Talent's self-titled debut album, and to celebrate the occasion, the Toronto arena punks will be taking the album on a special Canadian trek being dubbed "A Return to the Roots Tour."
The trek currently includes a modest five shows, which will find the band hitting up Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary in October and early November. There are fairly long gaps between the shows, so it's possible that more will be added. Three of the gigs include Anti-Flag as the opening act.
Not only does this mark the 10th anniversary of the album Billy Talent (or as it's sometimes known Billy Talent I), but it celebrates the band's 20th anniversary together. They spent their first decade known as Pezz, but changed the moniker due to an American band with the same name.
