Big Sean's new Hall of Fame LP is two weeks away from its August 27 due date, but a star-studded non-album track called "Control" has hit the web to tide us over until then.
The epic, seven-minute cut was premiered by Funk Master Flex, and features a boomin' NO I.D. beat built around gospel organs and playground noise. Sean busts out bars both repping his beloved Detroit and rappers like his hometown's Eminem, as well as Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac.
Guest star Kendrick Lamar, meanwhile, jumps into rough-necked destruction mode, challenging the likes of A$AP Rocky, Drake, J. Cole, Meek Mill, and even his host Big Sean in a quest to better the game ("I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas/Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas").
A baritone-voiced Jay Electronica cleans up with a faith-based verse, sounding plenty thankful just to be there. It's pretty gracious considering Kendrick just rapped about killing his career.
You can check out the track down below.
