Between the Buried and Me Frontman Prepping New Solo Album

Between the Buried and Me vocalist Tommy Rogers is pushing past the band's ambitious Parallax project to put work into a new solo album under his Thomas Giles guise. The album will be titled Modern Noise, and it's expected to be issued sometime this fall via Metal Blade.

Rogers made note of his priority shift last night (July 7) over Facebook, where he confirmed that he's currently working with producer Jamie King at his Basement Recording facility in North Carolina. Also part of the sessions is former Between the Buried and Me drummer Will Goodyear.

Though previews have yet to be let loose, the new songs apparently build upon the post-rock foundations of the project's 2011 debut Pulse.

"Can't explain how excited I am about this material," Rogers said in the post. "We are about 60 percent done and it's sounding above and beyond. Drummer Will Goodyear is a perfect addition to the session and has really helped bring these songs to life."

Of course, stay tuned for updates on the album as they become available.
