Ben Caplan Launches Ontario Residency

In late 2011, Halifax songwriter Ben Caplan and his band the Casual Smokers made their way west as far as Ontario on a Canadian tour to promote his album In the Time of the Great Remembering. This month, he'll be returning play a slew of dates in the province.

This Exclaim!-sponsored outing finds the bearded songsmith playing eight Ontario shows this month plus one in New York. There will be four gigs in Hamilton, three in Guelph and one in Toronto. Along the way he'll play shows with Herman Dude, Harlan Pepper and Ladies of the Canyon.

The residency tour kicks off tonight (January 5) in Guelph. In March, Caplan will play a trio of New Brunswick dates. See the full schedule below.
