Belly Signs with Roc Nation for New LP

Ontario rapper Belly's 2015 has been massive, with the artist helping co-write much of the Weeknd's smash Beauty Behind the Madness LP, while also issuing his own Up for Days mixtape. Things are getting even better for Belly, as he's signed a record deal with Jay Z's mighty Roc Nation firm.

An interview with Belly confirms that he's now being represented by Roc Nation and will have a new album out sometime in 2016. While Belly delivered his Up for Days mixtape earlier this year, the as-yet-untitled LP will be the first proper full-length from the artist since his Juno-winning The Revolution from 2007.

Though not too much has been revealed behind the upcoming effort, Belly explained that it's a "sequel" to his recent freelease.

"The first version came out in May, and that's really what sort of kicked the doors down for me again. And what I'm working on now is basically a sequel to that," he told Billboard, adding, "I'm excited; I'm making the best music of my life, I'm in the zone and feeling the best I've ever felt, and that's really translating into the music that I'm making. So I'm just excited to let the world hear it soon."

Ahead of the next release, Belly has dropped a scenic video for Up for Days' "No Option," which can be seen below. He's also released a new single called "Money Go," which can likewise be found below.

Additionally, he promised that Up for Days' Weeknd team-up "Might Not" will be re-released as a single in December, with a video to follow, and that he's also got a bunch of remixes in the works.

"There's a bunch of stuff coming up in the next couple months to keep everybody entertained," Belly explained.

Belly contributed to a handful of songs on the Weeknd's massive Beauty Behind the Madness LP, most notably co-writing hit song "The Hills."
