Washington queercore unit Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live called it quits around the end of the '90s, but the spazzy crew will display their great and fiery force once again this year when they reunite for some dates around the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
Shows have been booked to take place this March in Olympia and Bellingham, but the group's Facebook page explains that gigs are also being scheduled in Seattle and Portland. Unfortunately, this appears to be it for now, but Canuck fans can take solace in Bellingham being pretty darn close to the U.S./Canada border.
Also slotted to play the shows are Olympia two-piece the Need and Thrones, among others.
Growing out of the dissolution of the Mukilteo Fairies in the mid-'90s and named after a Deicide song, Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live's initial run yielded a pair of split 7-inches, a mini-slab of their own and their 1996 LP I Am That Great and Fiery Force. The band's demented and occasionally sexual mini-blasts were driven by Josh Plague's demented goblin screech, manic punk drumming and violinist Michael Griffen's white-noise bowing. Regrettably, Griffen passed away in 2008.
