Beefs 2013: Portishead's Geoff Barrow Hates on HAIM, Compares Them to Shania Twain

Those who remember the Weeknd's recent clash with Portishead already know that Geoff Barrow doesn't pull any punches on Twitter, and today (September 23), the multi-instrumentalist — who also plays with BEAK> and Quakers — laid into a new target: buzzed-about pop band HAIM.

Barrow tweeted, "Hiam [sic] sound like Shania Twain.. When did that become a good thing?"

In other words, we're guessing that he's not a fan.

Now that he mentions it, HAIM's song "The Wire" does sound a little similar to Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" Hear both songs below.

If HAIM can take any consolation, it's that they are far from the only subject of Barrow's scorn. Just last week (September 17), he tweeted, "Really...Kings of Leon co writers have gone well down hill."
