Bad Religion

"Past is Dead" (live on 'Fallon')

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 31, 2013

A week on from the release of Bad Religion's latest LP True North, the veteran punkers took to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform album track "Past is Dead."

The track starts up slowly with a soft but sorrowful guitar passage, which underscores Greg Graffin's moody croon. The band eventually got down to business to lay down a familiar, double-time punk arrangement full of the band's patented "oozin' aahs."

On another note, we can't tell what's more dadly: the stately Graffin's monochromatic longsleeve-and-jeans ensemble or guitarist Brian Baker's decision to wear his other outfit Dag Nasty's band tee.
