B. A. Johnston

Performs Three New Songs (Exclaim! TV x Pinball Sessions)

BY Riley HuntPublished Feb 20, 2015

Judging by the title of his upcoming album Shit Sucks, things may appear a bit down in the life of B.A. Johnston. However, the Hamilton-based folk troubadour isn't letting these trying times get in the way of his success. Having booked a massive Canadian tour in support of his new album (which comes out on February 24 through Mammoth Cave Recording Co.), Johnston will soon be in a town near you to share his observations on life's shittier, suckier aspects.

Last summer in the midst of the Peterborough Folk Festival, Exclaim! and the Pinball Sessions crew were able to catch up with B.A and hear some new songs from his forthcoming LP. The impromptu session features a few of his honest anthems, including "Gonna End Up Working in Fort McMurray," "When is Trash Day" and "BK Has a New King."

Armed with only a buzzing acoustic guitar, B.A. effortlessly rolls from one telling tale to the next, sharing his unique views on modern life and his dismal future.
